The Stressfire Method of Advanced Combat Shooting

DTG provides certified instuction in Massad Ayoob's Stressfire Method of combat shooting.  Based on advanced research in bio-mechanics and human response to stress the techniques taught in this method actually help you perform better as stress increases.

These courses are designed to introduce the student to the skills required to function at the outer limits of performance under stress.

Throughout the course the history and evolution of the techniques presented will be discussed and the reasons for the variation of these advanced techniques from their traditional counterparts will be presented. Topics include human response to stress, psycho-physiological effects of violent encounters, point-shooting, indexed shooting, aimed shooting, handling multiple adversaries, shooting for speed and accuracy (6 hits in 1 second), advanced tactics, shooting from cover, combat and tactical speed reloading, standing, kneeling, prone, combat and competition barricade, returning fire when injured, and the survival mindset.

"The message I wish to convey to you is that if you just want to shoot well or perform in competition only, the standard training courses, if done well, should suffice. If  you are in a position where you might get into a gunfight, however, then you need training that

addresses conditions that occur in gunfights. You must seek out firearms classes with instructors who have been there or who have been trained by instructors who have been there."
